Pay Carrying Charges On-line
Riverbay Corporation has contracted with PayLease and will begin accepting electronic, paperless payment of shareholders’ monthly carrying charges next month, April 1, in a continued effort to make it easier and more convenient for Co-op City shareholders to conduct business with the housing corporation.
Once you have set up and registered your account, you will be able to make a one-time credit card or Automated Clearing House (ACH) payment directly from your designated bank account. An AutoPay option will also be available if you wish to have your carrying charges deducted automatically from your bank account on a recurring monthly basis.
With the online electronic payment system, you will be able to pay all charges included on your monthly carrying charge statement, including parking, appliance, basement storage, hall closet, late fees and legal fees. When using the online payment option, however, you must pay your entire monthly carrying charge amount since PayLease will not accept partial payments.
In addition, while there is no charge to shareholders for ACH payments made through the PayLease online system, there is a 2.75% fee which would be passed along to those who use their credit cards to pay their monthly carrying charge. This 2.75% is the credit card company’s fee levied for such payments which the shareholder using a credit card will be responsible for.
